With the summer season now underway, there’s something about the coolness of woodland that is even more attractive!
The Scarborough has many wooded areas including Peasholm, Forge Valley and Jacob’s Ladder.
There is another area of woodland that is worth a visit and that is Raincliffe Woods on the outskirts of the town.
These woods have open access so can be enjoyed by everyone providing each visitor is careful.
There are some rules and regulations which everyone is expected to follow.
Raincliffe along with Row Brow and Forge Valley also have regular thinning work so the ecosystem can thrive.
So if you go down to the woods today, enjoy them and help protect them for the future.
