As the heat builds in the summer season, there’s nothing better than seeking the shade of trees.

These lovely trunks and branches can be found in Dean Road Cemetery in Scarborough.

A peaceful place where lots of folks are laid to rest, the trees stand tall above the gravestones, and each headstone tells a tale.

Many of the trees in this tranquil resting place are decades old and they are in their full green colours as the summer continues.

The cemetery borders the Manor Road section and the Peasholm Tree Trail.
